SECTION AIMS: This section will talk about how important a patient's carer is during the cancer process.

We want you to understand that as a carer:

  • You are very valued.
  • Your participation in consultations can be beneficial to many people- not only the patient, but to health professionals and your wider network of family and friends.
  • You don’t have to support the person with cancer on your own. This section includes activity on building a “caregiving team” so that you can think about how to share the responsibilities of caring.
